I’d rather be misunderstood with you than accepted without you.

I know some people don’t like us together, and maybe they never will—but honestly, that’s not our problem.

We’re not here to fit into their expectations or earn their approval. They don’t see the way we hold each other down when things get messy, the way we argue and still choose each other anyway, or how we laugh at things only we find funny. They don’t see the reality of us, the parts that matter—the trust we’ve built, the comfort we bring, the way we just get each other even when words fall short.

What we have isn’t for show, and it doesn’t need validation from the outside. It’s real in the way real things usually are—imperfect, raw, and worth it. I’m okay with people misunderstanding us, because they only see a snapshot, not the story. And if loving each other means standing apart from the crowd sometimes, so be it.

I’d rather be misunderstood with you than accepted without you.
