The future isn’t set in stone

I think this phase of adulting is best described as the “It is what it is” era. It’s that space where you learn to let go of things, even when it hurts.

Sometimes, closure isn’t part of the deal, and you’re left carrying the weight of unanswered questions. There are moments when you replay past decisions, feeling the sting of missed opportunities and the weight of regrets that seem to stretch into the future. But despite all of that, life keeps moving forward, and somehow, so do we. We learn, often the hard way, to live with the scars of our choices, even as they remind us of what could have been.

Still, it’s not over—not by a long shot. There’s always time to recalibrate, to set goals that feel true to where you are now, even if they don’t erase what’s already happened. Those chances to prove your worth, to explore the roads you once ignored, are still out there waiting. Sure, it’s terrifying, and some days, it feels like you’re running against the clock.

But if there’s one thing we all know deep down, it’s that the future isn’t set in stone. It’s messy, unpredictable, and sometimes relentless, but it’s still yours to shape.
