I have realized.
It's that time of year.
People's patience is running out ...
slowly but surely.
So, I step back.
Breathe deeply more frequently.
Shut down, and don't answer too quickly.
Close my eyes.
Turn around.
Pretend not to hear.
And many times, just walk away.
I refuse to get involved.
I will protect my peace.
