I’m not perfect… not even close.
I mess up. I say the wrong thing.
I lose my patience when I should pause.
I let my emotions get the best of me when I should take a deep breath.
But I apologize.
I make it right when I can.
And maybe you don’t always see it,
maybe I don’t always see it either,
but when we mess up, when we make mistakes,
when we choose to make it right,
we are learning far more than we realize.
We are showing our kids that mistakes aren’t the end of the story.
That owning up, apologizing, and making things right
is just as important—if not more—than getting it right the first time.
Because life isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about being real.
It’s about growing, learning, and showing up—even after we’ve fallen short.
So no, I’m not perfect.
But maybe that’s okay.
Maybe in my imperfection, I’m teaching my kids one of the most valuable lessons of all:
That love, grace, and the willingness to do better
matter more than perfection ever could.
